Book Your First Visit

What happens at your
first appointment.

Most people feel better once they know exactly what to expect. So here it is — no vague reassurances, just a clear picture of how your first visit actually goes.

01

A proper welcome

You'll be greeted by name and given a moment to settle in. We'll have your paperwork ready — nothing complicated, just the basics so we know who you are and what brings you in.

⏱ 10 minutes
02

A real conversation

Before anything else, we talk. What concerns you, what you've experienced before, what you're hoping for. This isn't a checkbox — it genuinely shapes how we approach your care.

⏱ 10–15 minutes
03

A thorough examination

We take a comprehensive look — teeth, gums, bite, and any X-rays that give us a clearer picture. We explain what we're seeing as we go, in plain English. No clinical jargon, no keeping you guessing.

⏱ 30–40 minutes
04

An honest debrief

We'll sit down and walk you through exactly what we found — what needs attention, what can wait, and what looks great. Any recommendations come with a clear explanation of why. You leave knowing exactly where things stand.

⏱ 10–15 minutes
05

Your clean (usually)

In most cases we'll complete a professional cleaning in the same appointment. If something needs addressing first, we'll be upfront about it and schedule accordingly — never without your understanding.

⏱ 30–45 minutes
Patient relaxed and at ease

Dental anxiety is
more common than you think.

A significant number of our patients — including some who've been coming for years — walked in for the first time feeling nervous, avoidant, or genuinely afraid. We don't take that lightly.

We've been helping anxious patients feel comfortable for thirty years. Not by rushing through it or telling you to relax, but by actually slowing down, explaining everything, and letting you set the pace.

Tell us upfront — we'll adjust everything around you
You're always in control — we stop the moment you ask
Nothing happens without your understanding and agreement
We go at your pace, not the schedule's
Sedation options available — ask us when you book

No hidden fees.
No surprises.

We know that cost is a real concern for most people — and we think it should be talked about openly, not buried in small print. Before any treatment, we'll give you a clear breakdown of what it costs and what your insurance covers, if applicable.

If something is beyond your budget right now, we'll talk through your options honestly. Our goal is to find a path that works for you — not to push you into something you're not comfortable with.

Not sure if we accept your insurance? Call us or drop us a message — we'll check and get back to you quickly. We're happy to handle the admin on your behalf.

🏥

Most Major Insurance

We work with most major dental insurance providers. We'll verify your coverage before your appointment so there are no surprises.

💳

Flexible Payment

We offer flexible payment options for larger treatments. Ask us about payment plans when you book — we'll find something that works.

📄

Clear Estimates

You'll receive a written cost estimate before any treatment begins. Nothing proceeds without your review and approval.

🤝

No Pressure

If the timing isn't right financially, we'll prioritize what's urgent and work with you on everything else. Honest always.

What to bring
on your first visit.

We keep it simple. You don't need to prepare much — but having these things ready helps us make the most of your time with us.

01

Your insurance card

If you have dental insurance, bring your card or have your plan details ready. We'll handle the rest — verifying coverage, submitting claims, the whole thing.

02

A list of medications

Any medications you take — prescription or over-the-counter. Some can affect dental treatment or interact with anaesthetics, so it's important we know.

03

Previous dental records

If you have X-rays or records from a previous dentist, bring them or ask your old practice to forward them. It saves time and helps us see the full picture faster.

04

Your concerns, written down

If there's something specific bothering you — a tooth, a sensitivity, something you've been putting off — write it down so we don't miss it. Even small things are worth mentioning.

05

A photo ID

Just for our records on your first visit. A driver's license or any government-issued ID is fine.

06

Nothing else

Seriously — that's it. Arrive a few minutes early if you'd like to fill out your paperwork without rushing. Everything else we'll handle together.

Running late?  Call us — we'd rather know so we can adjust than have you rushing and stressed when you arrive.

Things people usually
want to know.

If your question isn't here, just call or send us a message. There's no such thing as a silly question when it comes to your health.

How long will my first appointment take?

+

Plan for about 90 minutes for a comprehensive new patient exam, X-rays, and cleaning. If you have significant concerns or it's been a while since your last visit, it may run a little longer — we'd rather take the time and do it properly.

Do you see children?

+

Yes, absolutely. We see patients of all ages and have a lot of experience making children feel comfortable and at ease. Getting kids started with a positive dental experience early makes a real difference for life.

It's been years since I've seen a dentist. Will you judge me?

+

Not for a second. We've seen it all, and we understand that life gets in the way. Our only concern is where things are now and what we can do to help going forward. You coming in is the important part.

What if I need treatment I can't afford right now?

+

We'll be honest about what's urgent and what can wait, and we'll prioritize accordingly. We offer flexible payment options for larger treatment plans — and we'll never push you into anything you're not ready for.

Can I get a second opinion on treatment I've been quoted elsewhere?

+

Absolutely — and we encourage it. Second opinions are smart, especially for significant treatment. Come in, we'll take a look, and give you our honest assessment. No obligation, no pressure.

What's your cancellation policy?

+

Life happens — we get it. We just ask for as much notice as possible, ideally 24 hours, so we can offer your slot to someone who needs it. Call us and we'll sort it out without any fuss.

The hardest part is
just making the call.

You've got all the information you need. The rest is just showing up — and we'll take it from there. New patients are always welcome, and we look forward to meeting you.
